Lare Bloodworth is the Chief Financial Officer and part of the executive team for the Local Government Commission (LGC), a national nonprofit organization that connects, inspires, equips, and cultivates local elected officials, staff, and leaders to implement innovative solutions and smart-growth policies. 

Lare has more than 20 years of experience in financial management for a number of diverse companies in the greater Sacramento region and the Central Valley. She’s led both small and large financial teams with her areas of expertise including operations and management, analysis, financial controls, and budgeting/forecasting. She is highly skilled in analyzing the financial performance of an organization with an eye on optimizing long-term financial performance. 

Lare  is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CPA),  and holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from California State University, Sacramento. She has served as Treasurer on the board of Lilliput Families and has been a member of Financial Executives International (FEI).
