Webinar—Green Jobs and Energy Efficiency
California’s green economy has been growing at a faster rate then the economy as whole. Since 1995, green jobs have expanded by 56% while the total economy grew by 18%. Energy efficiency accounted for a large number of these jobs vastly exceeding the average green job growth. State regulations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy use will continue to drive demand for energy sector services. Local governments can position themselves to take advantage of these opportunities and create green jobs in their communities.
Speakers include Kat Daniel from Green For All who will give an overview of the current landscape and opportunities for green jobs within the energy efficiency sector followed by regional case studies highlighting innovative strategies to promote green jobs and energy efficiency.
