Building Energy and Water Efficiency Retrofit Learning Cohort

As a benefit to SEEC participants, ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability will offer a Building Energy and Water Efficiency Retrofit Learning Cohort for up to 20 California local governments beginning in April – May 2019. Cohort participants are invited to attend the SEEC Forum June 26-27 in Long Beach to share out the results of their participation in the cohort.

SEEC Accelerator

The SEEC Accelerator program provides targeted technical assistance to local governments with varied levels of technical expertise, experience, and capacity to develop climate action plans, track and measure progress on reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions, implement energy efficiency and sustainability projects, leverage additional funding resources, and achieve statewide recognition for energy efficiency and climate achievements.

Working Toward Climate Justice in the Gateway Cities

As with any environmental stressor, the impacts of climate change will not affect everyone equally. Institute for Local Government, along with EAS, is currently leading a project to develop a Climate Action Plan Framework (CAP Framework) for the Gateway Cities Council of Governments (COG) that addresses climate justice concerns head on.
