Transportation

Convenient and affordable access is an important factor in community success.  Communities in close proximity to ports, airports, highways and major transit corridors have an economic advantage in attracting businesses.  While there is little a small community can do about this, there are measures they can take to increase bicycling and walking infrastructure and public transit. Cities across the state are increasing investments in public transit and infrastructure to encourage active transportation, focusing limited resources towards filling gaps that can extend critical routes.
